Worthy of Love
July 20th, 2009
It is no secret the past few years have been ones of major up and downs for Birdie and I. From escaping from “hell” into a place of refuge, to the loss of and gain of employment. The birth of children, and the death of two. The loss of hope to the birth of a ministry to wondering if it is all, real. It is enough to make us question, bemoan, and despair about our worth, if we will ever amount to anything. I makes you ask the most fundamental question of all. Am I, as a lowly sinful individual, insignificant in the grand scheme of things worthy of His love? When you sit down and analyze it you realize you are not, but for grace.
Grace is that commodity of His love that loves us even though we in no way could be worthy of His love. Grace picks us up, dusts us off and tells us our worth is not in what we do but in who we are, because He loved us FIRST. Grace is what comforts us when we feel lost and alone, and because of grace we will never be alone. He will always be with us, because NOTHING can take His love away, therefore we will always have His grace, and grace is what makes us worthy of love.
